    Issue with On-screen buttons (Q1UP)

    Hello everyone,

I've just received a Q1UP with XP on it. Everything worked well.

Then i tried to clean and do a fresh install of Vista. Everything runs well EXCEPT for the on-screen buttons.

When i hit the Menu button, sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesn't.
Besides, when i click on brightness for example, nothing happens.. or it does 2mins after.
Sometimes it also makes Explorer.exe crash..

Did anyone encounter that problem? And how can you resolve it?

    Thanks :)

I would go to the Samsung site and see if they have Vista-specific drivers for your model. I seem to recall that even on the same model, the drivers were different, and it may be the XP drivers don't work so well on Vista.

I have a Q1UP-XP that's running Vista Ultimate and everything runs fine. I'm not sure if there are differences between the Q1UP-XP and Q1UP-V drivers but you should go to the Q1UP-V support page and use those drivers anyway. My Q1UP was loaded with the Vista drivers

This is off track but I am a new user to the Q1UP and would like to know how you updated it to Vista?  Can you give me some ideas o to go about that. I would greatly apreciate any thing you can throw at me.

Re: Issue with On-screen buttons (Q1UP)

Simply get yourself a copy of Vista, business, home premium, or ultimate.

Go to Samsung's website (link below) to download all the vista software, vista drivers, and firmware updates. Update your firmware before installing vista if you haven't already.

Install Vista using an external USB DVD drive or using a USB Flash Drive

Install all the drivers & apps.
