Just as future reference for current or future owners looking through this forum, some notes of upgrades to this UMPC. After reading about Patriot ram working, I got a 2GB Kingston PC5300 stick to install and it works flawlessly. I also picked up a Patriot 16GB SDHC class 6 card and the R2Hv can read/write to it properly. Copying a 233MB file to the card took 40 seconds so the device basically writes at the card's class 6 speed rating.
