He's been awarded Microsoft Tablet PC MVP status. The timing may seem a bit suspicious,  April 1st and all, but I know for a fact MS does have an April 1st MVP award date.

He's been very helpful here in these forums and he is the other half of the team that runs jkontherun. Plus on the personal side he just got engaged.

And no April 1st isn't unique. I'm an ASP.NET MVP for the past four years, and it's been April 1st like clockwork for the past four years. I think there a couple times during the year that MS gives the award.
