Boot UMPC to screen that pans and messed up cursor tracking
So have any of you with eo 72xxs or Q1s (Intel 915 GMS video) experienced the following problem?
You are running at some resolution other than native 800x480. The UMPC is unplugged and goes into standby and then the battery goes dead. You plug it it, boot it up and when you get to the log in screen, you can see only 800x480 pixels on the screen, but the windows log in screen is still at the higher resolution. i.e. you can pan around the high-res screen in your 800x480 portal/view.
Worse, the cursor is not is tracking with the pointer properly (instead it's down and to the right of the stylus/finger) and you don't have a keyboard handy and you have to laboriously figure out where to click to enter your password before you can login and reset the screen resolution to sync up the touchpad calibration with the actual screen resolution.
Basically, without a clean shutdown it seems that windows thinks you're still running the non-native resolution including the touchscreen settings, but the screen has reset to 800x480.
Anyone else have this happen to them? It really sucks when it does and has happened to me twice now.
