    I gave up and called them, the nice gentleman said based on my position in the queue it probably wont be shipped until next Tuesday.

    It's here! yea, now im going to tinker.

    using the 'wrench button' i can't get my  screen to rotate. :|

    I assume you are only trying to rotate in 800x480 mode.  Perhaps they haven't worked out all the Intel driver issues or you don't have the updated ones.  What version of graphics driver do you have installed?

    JKK, you said rotation worked for you.  What's your driver version?

    Driver version that enable rotation is     6.14.10.4545

    Nice software for fast rotation here

    Interesting.  Mine reports 6.14.10.4545, dated 3/24/2006, and rotation doesn't work.  Well it worked once or twice and now, no longer does.

    Re install your vga software and use urotate to rotate....

    I've just received my i7210 this morning from PocketPC Solutions in the UK.  Haven't had a chance to play yet, and probably won't until tomorrow :(
     
    On the back of the box it says that it should come with a utility CD with drivers and support.  I don't have one in the box, and I was wondering if anyone else got one.
     
    I also seem to remember someone mentioning that you could create a recovery CD from the recovery partition.  There doesn't seem to be anything in the manual about it...can this be done, and if so, how?

    The first allocation of units didn't ship with recovery discs or with an image on the hard drive to make one.  I think they wanted to work out the kinks before prepping an image.  They'll be sending out recovery disks to us sometime.  If you crash your system in the meantime and need to reinstall, I'm sure they'll fedex you something to get you running again, but you may be down for a day or so unless you have other install media.

    Thanks for that ree. I thought the units were delayed so they could get the image right and supply a recovery partition though.

    I'm pretty sure they were delayed after having Intel video driver problems with a bunch of the units.  Many of the people who got them before the delay (myself included) had updated drivers sent out to them by tech support.  Perhaps they were looking to avoid bogging down their tech support staff just to send temporary drivers out to everybody.

    Ahhh...ok...thanks ree. I shall await my recovery CD in the post :)

    Can't wait for the battery calibration to finish, so I can have a real play :D

    Not yet.  Supposedly they sent me one on Friday-ish.  I specifically asked for it because I wanted to upgrade to the latest version of Blue Soleil to try and resolve an issue between it and some mapping software I'm using.  If you think you'll be doing OS upgrades/reinstalls, ask and they'll probably send something out for you.
