Has anyone tried 2gb of memory on Asus r2h? I would really appreciate if someone could share his/her knowledge.

    Thanks!

Pictures are good but you have not say if it works or not!

Yes, Windows is reporting back 1.98 GB of ram on my R2H now. :)

    Re: 2GB SODIMM

So, I'm confused. My R2H which I upgraded with a 1Gig chip reports 1263mb of memory. Adding 1gig to that would take it to  2 gigs + 256, yes?

You are right, it seems that 2 Gb total is the magic number.

So it works! Great, thanks! Have you noticed any difference in performance after the upgrade?

Browsing is faster. Refreshing the file list in folders using File Explorer goes faster. To mention few things that I have noticed.

Will these dimms work in the Ultra? I am thinking of getting one then putting it in my Q1 then transferring it to the ultra.

    Re: 2GB SODIMM

Hello, I have ordered the ram 2 gb for my Q1, in Italy less than 169 euro is not found. From how much I have understood must upgradare the bios to the version “20MA” in order to make to recognize it to the Q1, as soon as it arrives I install it and I make to know you! (excused my English Embarrassed [:$])

    Re: 2GB SODIMM

Wheee! My R2H and I are sooo two-gigging! Same results as melodybliss with a Kingston module.  With 1.25 GB, I'd been getting low memory warnings after implementing anti-disk-thrashing measures; it's too early to say whether or not that problem has been resolved, but I haven't seen it since.
