I'm going to check with a local Best Buy that sells the current model on my way home tonight, now that I have the model number from the manual http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/EM/200705/20070502104550250/EN/main.html they maybe able to find it in their system.  My hope is that they have received some in already and put them on the floor (not likely but I can have hope).  I was told they usually get things in on Friday for Monday launches.

I suspected a launch near the 8th because Microsoft is making some announcements for the XBOX Live around that time and the spring update for the XBOX is due this coming week, last I heard.

What does the status "launched" mean? does that mean its available to buy?

It says the CPU speed will be 600MHz to 800MHz with the new processor, yuck I was hoping for dual core and at least 1 GHz.

I haven't found them on any web sites yet, anyone else?

What are the different models going to offer, any further performance?

Per the Seattle Times article, Samsung is holding back on the release of the version of this that makes the upgrade worth it -- the one with high speed wwan (hsdpa) and ssd (instead of traditional hard drive).  Heck, if they would release the model now with at least hsdpa, they would sell, but it sounds like they are only releasing the stripped down upgrade model now, and the real one will be delayed until the end of summer (per Seattle Times).

Wow, they did NOT include the memory card reader in the budget Q1 ultra "EL"  :(   That alone is a deal killer.
