-You can now force the size the program detects the taskbar as. This should fix the remaining resizing/resolution issues as it bypasses all autodetection and places the responsibility on the user (which is inelegant, but works)

-You can now import your settings from the Program Launcher that was included with XP. The option is in the Programs section of Settings.

-Fixed the bug that would result in blank icons for URLs imported from the Program Launcher

-Fixed the window name (forgot to change it to Moble Home)

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

That would mean you inputted incorrect width/height/taskbar sizes, as the bypass autodetect feature relies only on the user. I dont know what to tell you, I've used the program on 2 seperate computers and it autodetects perfectly. Ive used the bypasser on both and it's resizing exactly as I specified.

I put 800 as the width, 480 as the height, 30 as the taskbar and it resizes exactly to 800 by 450 as it should. Try those numbers, hit ctrl alt print screen, go to mspaint/pbrush, set the size of the image to something very small by going to image attributes (ie: 1x1) and hit paste. Then go back to image attributes and tell me what it says

    Minor update:

-I've changed the behaviour of the hardware buttons. If the program is minimized it will now listen for key presses (it will still still listen while maximized and in focus, or if using VGA Out/Dualview)

This way you can minimize the app, then turn the backlight off. While still being able to use the buttons, as I noticed this would not work before cause the program loses focus when you turn the backlight off.

-Removed the last original Origami Experience icon from the skin. I replaced the favorites icon with a gold star (like IE7 has)

-Fixed a bug in how shortcuts were executed in the Programs section. The bug prohibited you from executing shortcuts that weren't on the same drive as your current working directory (usually c:\)

I just remembered that someone wanted a home/today page. So I'll get that done shortly. Obviously it'll only show up while connected to the internet

I added the homepage/todaypage feature. To set the URL go to Settings, General, Set Home page.

To disable the feature, click clear home page in the same section

I have the IE control (yes I MUST use IE, no I don't want to hear complaints about me not using Firefox, Firefox is not capable of being embedded in application, hence why I am against it. IE is accessable to developers, FF is not) fill the right hand side of the screen when you're in the home section. The Settings/Help buttons are now moved to below the panel of buttons of the left.

I guess this is it. Aside from minor bug fixes, the last feature has been implemented. I hope you guys enjoy the program as much as I did making it for you all.

Fixed some bugs... That never should have happened.

VB has been erasing the settings I used for the Windows Media object. Made it not resize correctly, show controls where it shouldn't, etc.

Also revamped the way the resolution is checked. It will no longer take the bloody tip into account when checking your resolution.

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

    Hello,

I am back... I will start testing origami now that I have an OS on my UX. Tablet PC Input Panel .. what tablet do you have ? is that XP Ultimate or actually Tablet Edtion ?

On my UX, res is 1024x600, the program for me is perfect at 888x528 taskbar height 28, now why when I put my correct res in the program is out of the screen a little bit ?

The program is looking good, I have only had time to play around for 5 minutes or so,one thing I am wondering, can you change the view of music to say a detailed view ?

    Bye for now

Re: Would anyone be interested in an Origami Experience clone for XP?

Evidently I didn't test enough last time, the problem wasn't solved for the video that was queued when you last used the program. I fixed it.

    http://rapidshare.com/files/56387553/MobileHome.zip.html

When you put the resolution in, are you putting the resolution of your screen subtracting the taskbar height? Cause you're not supposed to. Just the resolution of your screen. And if it's not doing the resolution you want, you had to have entered it incorrectly as it's relying solely on the inputs you gave and nothing else.

And I could add a detail/list view yea.

hi why dont you open a project in google source or sourceforge so that it is easier to deploy your files. I cant really access rapidshare very well. You will even get a version control repository with them. tovarish

Not really, I consider it done for the most part. Unless someone can think of some new features.

I've submitted it to SourceForge, if accepted it'll be a permanent place to download it.

In which case I'll add a feature to check for updates.

I can also stick all my UMPC-specific programs in the same sourceforge site
